Each year community and professional repertoire companies in and around Los Angeles put on those holiday classics, you know The Nutcracker, A Christmas Carol and A Miracle on 34^th Street and to many it isn’t the holidays until they take in these performances.  We agree that these are great, but why not shake things up a bit this holiday season.

We have gathered a list of performances that are sure to delight this year.

The Charles Stewart Howard Playhouse in Woodland Hills will be celebrating the holidays with a Hard Candy Christmas; a series of short plays and music celebrating the ups and downs of the season.  This performance is sure to delight and runs on December 12^th and 13^th at 7:00 pm at Harter Hall in Woodland Hills.

In neighboring Sherman Oaks The Whitefire Theater puts on a romping holiday comedy; Santasia.  This fun musical includes singing, dancing and cross-dressing.
