Smoke City Market<\/h3>\n

OK, this isn’t Soul Food and well it isn’t even really Southern, but the barbeque is so good we had to include it on the list.  Smoke City Market serves up Texas style BBQ.  They smoke their ribs, beef, chicken and pork over natural oak and prepare their sauces from scratch using natural ingredients.   They do catering with family and party packs so they are perfect for your next holiday party.<\/p>\n

Boneyard Bistro<\/h3>\n

Again, not SOUL food, but food that is good for your SOUL, so we included in our list. Boneyard Bistro has all the things you would expect to find in a restaurant in Sherman Oaks, but it also has BBQ.  Like mouthwatering barbeque, smoked and dripping with sauce.  They have ribs, beef, chicken, pulled brisket and pork.  They also have all the sides to go with it.   Oh, did we mention they have deep-fried mac and cheese, collard greens and baked beans.<\/p>\n

Mom’s BBQ<\/h3>\n

In nearby Van Nuys you will find mom’s BBQ, this hole in the wall has been serving up some of the best ribs in San Fernando Valley for over 25 years.   They have fall-off the bone ribs, juicy chicken, sausage, meat loaf and so much more.  This family owned restaurant serves all the fixings you would expect from a Soul Food & Barbecue joint including collard greens, coleslaw, baked beans, corn bread and red bean rice.<\/p>\n
