Mother's Day is this Sunday, May 8th and is a holiday honoring motherhood observed throughout the world.  It became an official U.S. holiday in 1914 and most commonly falls on the second Sunday in May and traditionally involves giving mothers cards, flowers, gifts or treating them to brunch!
